Regular Developer clients of Shaun Murkett Acoustics wished to sell on this very old Grade 2 listed traditional pub, dating back to 1500, as they developed the rest of the site for residential use. We still continued to advise the Developers on all technical aspects involving noise with their ongoing large scale residential projects.

 

We were instructed by the Developers to find a buyer for the licensed premises, from our extensive network of contacts in the bar and restaurant industry. Acting as Agents we soon found a buyer, whom we had worked with before in London. Shaun Murkett arranged the introductions between buyers and sellers. After meetings on site we helped diplomatically with the negotiations; a long lease was agreed.  

 

Shaun Murkett Acoustics were instructed by the new owners to complete noise surveys and reports, to bring the pub up to modern regulation standards for the Local Authority.

 

The pub is now successfully open, and features live music and entertainment, and traditional real ale; a much valued asset to the local community. A full refurbishment of the restaurant area will soon be underway, and they will be even busier!
