This world famous large nightclub is unique; a cutting edge fashion photography studio during the day, and in the evening transforms into a glamorous nightclub. At weekends, it plays host to over a thousand customers for a lively night club right through to the early hours. Residents are in nearby luxury apartments; there was serious concern over noise breakout.

 

Shaun Murkett Acoustic Consultants Ltd were commissioned to investigate and undertake noise surveys, and acoustic reports with comprehensive recommendations. We have specialised noise prediction and modelling software packages used to assist with these complex design techniques and recommendations. Construction started and we made regular site visits to answer technical queries.

 

We were commissioned for final sound tests; very successful, now with music sound levels of well over 124 dB from the very large Funktion One system, supplied by Sound Services, yet the music noise is inaudible at residents, and they can sleep peacefully through the night. The local authority reassured, the studio owners very happy, and its now possible to put on internationally acclaimed DJs and club nights, such as Hydra and Electric Minds. The club is now very successful with sold out nights through the year.
