This new roof top chill-out area, located on the roof top of a large Hackney warehouse building near London Fields, featured hot-tub cinema screenings and live band parties. Music was a strong theme throughout their events. There was concern from the owners that although they wanted to carry on partying, they did not want to disturb the residents nearby.

 

Shaun Murkett Acoustics were called in to investigate and advise, and commissioned to do noise surveys and a report with full recommendations. As a professional expert witness on noise we attended the licence hearings to gain the permissions needed to continue the outdoor event space. The recommendations were soon put in place, and the sound limiter calibrated with a new outdoor sound system operating.

 

The 300 plus mixed crowd, from City workers to local Hipsters, can now enjoy this amazing sunny roof top space with views right across London. From breakfast in the morning, through to parties in the evening with food, drink, music and sunsets.
