The famous Nest nightclub in the heart of late night Dalston is another one of the expanding Colombo group of clubs and bars, who have used our professional acoustic services in the past with many of their premises, and all with successful results. The club was to be completely refurbished, and a louder music sound level was a major target. The local authority had the usual concerns over the potential noise and disturbance to nearby residents.

 

Shaun Murkett Acoustic Consultants Ltd were called in to investigate and commissioned to complete full noise surveys, and compile comprehensive noise reports with detailed recommendations to improve the venue, to enable the in-house specialist builders to start the construction. We regularly inspected on site to assist with technical advice on the complex construction.

 

Follow up sound tests were made, and confirmed our detailed acoustic design for the main music room had achieved a much better, louder, sound, and yet still acceptable at the residents.

 

With our noise reports and sound limiter calibration certificates approved and accepted by the council, the Nest was safely back in business and is now one of the most successful and busiest clubs in late night Dalston.
