Livra Stone Cutting Industry, Noise at Work.

Livra is at the high end of kitchen design, and provides stone cutting and finishing to the fashionable kitchen bathroom sales industry. These operations included state of the art water and laser cutting machines able to cut and shape the most intricate detail in natural stone materials.

 

The company's managing director, with many years working in the industry, takes all Health and Safety issues seriously, and his insurance company had concerns over his risk for any future claims on hearing damage.

 

The owner commissioned Shaun Murkett Acoustic Consultants ltd for a formal Noise at Work Assessment at the factory, to ensure that staff were within the Regulations for noise exposure, and to make the factory as safe to work in as possible. A noise survey was made and noise exposure levels measured for all staff and machines.

 

It was found that only minor recommendations were needed to comply with the legal regulations, not particularly costly. It reassured the owner that he was prepared, and in a safe position, with all legal requirements well in place, and could operate the business successfully. They can now concentrate at what they do best, some of the most beautiful and expensive kitchens in London!
