This complete Hotel refurbishment near Gatwick Airport required a professional acoustic consultant with good building and architectural acoustics experience as there were many specific technical requirements in the tender documents.

 

The main contractor brought in Shaun Murkett Acoustic Consultants Ltd to give technical advice on suitable materials and installation techniques and to then conduct sound tests on the finally completed rooms.

 

The building was completed on schedule and in budget; we undertook the sound tests on the bedrooms, and analysed the results, and a full noise report was issued with conclusions.

 

All the noise criteria and noise requirements of the Head Office management were successfully cleared by our sound tests and report. The Hilton Hotel was soon opened and back in business, with beautiful quiet rooms for many international travellers.
