This large and famous mosque in London needed a new sound system installed so that the people attending prayers could hear the Imam clearly. This large building has a capacity of over 1000 people and so specialist advice was needed to enable a sound system that would be good performance and still cost effective.

 

The sound system was installed by West End AV, a firm specialising in sound systems in mosques, with technical advice and consultancy provided by Shaun Murkett Acoustic Consultants Ltd.

 

When the refurbishment was completed and the sound system was commissioned we were asked to do independent speech intelligibility tests, and other sound tests, to confirm that the sound system was clear and of good quality, and that the sound cover to all areas was clear.

 

The sound system passed with very good performance results, and people in all areas of the mosque could clearly hear the speaker. The Imam was very happy. The mosque is now very busy with many people attending prayer, and is a regular well known landmark in the Muslim community of London.
