Greenwich Millenium Village School and Health Centre

Our expertise and acoustic design were part of this innovative school and health centre project from the early stages right through to completion.

We were comissioned by the award winning architects Edward Cullinan, through Fulcrum Consulting, to act as acoustic consultants.

After our ambient background noise surveys were completed we worked closely with the architects and design team to recommend specifications for the building structure.The new government guidelines for the sound transmissions between internal rooms in schools and hospitals were incorporated.

Our reports came up with various acoustic design options which we discussed fully with the design team and English Heritage, the overall client, in order to agree final specifications for tender. Part of the brief called for the design of a basic audiometry test room for children in the health centre with tight budget constraints.

The school and health centre are now in full use, and the buildings and architectural design have been nominated for various awards.
